2010 FIFA World Cup has been a spotlight for the past 1 month. Exhilarating game of football.
Witnessing shocked moments just like how France and 2006 reigning champions Italy were kicked out from the group stages. Not to mention, England lost heavily to a superior young Germans team. The Germans went on to thrash Argentina, which was tipped as one of the most likely team to win the prestigious tournament, 4-0 in the Quarter Final berth. That was stunning indeed.
Before the starts of the World Cup, I predicted Holland to be in the Final (which they did!). Fortunately, the Dutch managed to squeeze past Brazil and advance to the Semi-Final which they secured a 3-2 victory over Uruguay. Now the world awaits 12 of July 2010 to arrive, Holland vs Spain!
World Cup is still (obviously) a world class tournament albeit much controversial issues were being brought up in this edition.
When I was in secondary school, I always scored BRONZE for NAPFA test.
I can achieve 4-5 points for each station, but always that one station that would determined my fate. It’s either Standing Broad Jump or Sit & Reach. All along had been wasted, just a grade ‘E’ will pull you down no matter how good you perform for other stations. Not even a SILVER for my entire secondary school days!
Alright, time for a change. This time in NAPFA diagnostic test in Year 3.1, I finally secured a GOLD! Almost no preparation except for some last minute old school weight lifting.
I am thankful for many things. :)
Hey people.
It’s the end of week 5 of my FYP. Another half more to go. Pretty stress during the first two weeks of encounters, but I learnt a lot independently. Our supervisor has been friendly and helpful to us, to be honest, I do not want to disappoint her, I want to make our project a success and hopefully we can make it to the competition. Sounds ambitious though, Haha.
When my friends of other project lab came and greet, they were surprised at the pace we progressed. Just 5/12 weeks, almost 80% of it are done. However, I don’t agree with them. It appears to be in a opposite way! Then what if 80% of the things are done and 75% of work are completed by me? This does make a difference. Haha.
Teacher wants to incorporate a touch sensor and I proceeded with her instructions. It appears that our teacher are looking forward to this new addition. I really do not want to dash her hopes, I mean for the whole of FYP, hopefully it’s not that hard to do. Haha.

On a side note, the parts for Transmitter and Receiver are done, not to mention the clock which was modified and done pretty long ago. Having a voice recorder, LCD module, Accelerometer, Touch sensor+lamp(?), and some modifications, we can then advance to our next phase.
Top of the hill awaits me! ;D

A busy semester currently - MP-SIP.
Not my group but only ME has been working to build a clock. I have a mixed feeling actually. This is only the beginning, plenty more to witness later on.
A person walking in without much knowledge about this phase, given time and flexibility, he could have study and revise on how this can be implemented. However, it appears that I am the one who is doing all the hardwork and building it. It’s okay because I know what I am doing, but finding any schematic source on internet won’t bring us to another stage you see. You got to study it, I mean real stuff. Not about flipping the pages and forgetting all the other day or even after a few hours.
You may think I am capable, but I must say that this is simply having my homework done beforehand. It is hard as a leader to lead your members who did not even understand the principal of what you are doing.
I got to admit it.
A digital clock has been build solely by me. Yet someone seems to get all the attentions from demostration. It looks like he was the one who build this.
Take a peek here. 1 hour timer clock.
Enjoy. :)
PS: This is only the first part of project, plenty more to come. :O
Hey people!
This is my second completed hobby project. I’ve dismantled my previous one because I only have a protoboard.
So I came out with a… GO HAVE A LOOK! :D
It was something like a trial and error experiment and I did not have the complete of my schematic design. Incorporated with another timer circuit and adding in one transistor each. I guess what’s the use of adding that. It’s probably act as amplification and thus gives more light to the leds connected there.
I used my own power supply built in Year 1 so I won’t waste my 9V battery life.
Enjoy! :)
